Betty Parker

Betty Lou Parker died on December 19, 2020 at Nathan Richard Nursing Home in Nevada, Missouri.  She was born in Rich Hill on September 10, 1926 along with her twin sister, Peggy Sue, to J.D. Bud Anderson and Jessie Marie (Evans) Anderson.  Betty graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1944.
Betty worked in her parents’ grocery store until 1946 when she married Earl Wilson, Jr. They were blessed with four children—Susan, Jim, Joe, and David.  They lived on a farm south of Rich Hill until 1976 when Betty moved to Nevada.  In 1980, Betty married Herb Parker.  She work at Bob’s Shoe Store until she retired, and then worked part-time for another 10 years.
Betty loved to read and play card games.  She was well-known for her large gardens and baked goods.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, and her sisters: Peggy Sue Heuser and Norma Jean Smith.
She is survived by her children: Jim and Nancy Wilson, Joe and Ronnette Wilson, David Wilson, and Susan and Charles Lowery; grandchildren: Bill Lowery, Cheryl and Joe Runnebaum, Jessica and David Sleezer, and Joshua Wilson; five great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews
