Davie Klinksick

Following a two day stay at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, Davie Len Klinksick’s abdominal aortic aneurysm burst causing him to pass away on May 14, 2021. He was 70 years old.

Davie was the second eldest of four children born to Eugene and Betty Klinksick, of Prairie City, Missouri: Lonnie, himself (Davie), Wyma, and Nona.  He was born on January 18, 1951.  Davie attended Zion Lutheran School from 1st through 8th grade with several lifelong friends. Then he proceeded to finish his schooling at Rich Hill High School from 9th through 12th grade. Davie Klinksick graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1969. He met the love of his life, Christine Louise Corban, at his cousin Bill Klinksick’s wedding to Cholista (Corban) Klinksick, Christine’s sister. Christine and Davie hit it off right away and dated throughout his high school career.  Soon after Christine’s graduation, Davie and Christine were married on September 20, 1970.  They would go on two have two girls, Delanya Lynn and Courtney Louise, who they raised on their farm in Prairie City, Missouri. Davie and Christine would be married for 28 years until Christine lost her battle with cancer and died on June 2, 1999.

Davie Klinksick was known by all as the “milkman.” He hauled milk for 45 years and boy did he love every second of it.  He loved his milk trucks and keeping them in excellent condition. Never has an eye seen a more pristine semitruck. Davie cared for everyone like he did his trucks. He was such a kind and gentle spirit, a friend to all, and he put in the work to make sure that his loved ones were taken care of. Davie had several beloved customers over the years but one of the family’s favorite memories were of a little girl naming her calf “Daisy Klinksick”. He made an impact on everyone he met; no doubt about it. Davie was loved by all and will be missed so much by so many people.

Davie survived several health crises over the years such as diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, and kidney cancer. To say he was a fighter, a man of grit, and a man of character would be the understatement of the century. Throughout it all his family was by his side. Davie was a family man and his affections were always towards them. He was survived by his lifelong friendship of sisters and their spouses: Wyma and Rick Laning of Rich Hill, MO. and Nona and Artie Yohe of Rich Hill, MO. His daughters whom he loved wholeheartedly and their spouses: Delanya and Jeff Thompson of Mount Vernon, MO. and Courtney and Wade Mumma of Rich Hill, MO. Davie always had the softest spot in his heart for his grandchildren and their spouses; his love was made known with every encounter: Makena and Michael Fleshman, Billy Thompson, Brhett Mumma, and Taron Mumma. His great grandchildren, whom he made an everlasting impact on through his love and playful spirit: Bowen and Kaisley Fleshman.  As well as a host of many family members including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Davie’s funeral service will be held at the Myrtle Tree Fellowship Church in Rich Hill, Missouri on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be the Tuesday, May 18th at Heuser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm in Rich Hill, Missouri.  Burial will be at the Prairie City Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions to the Prairie City Cemetery and may be sent in c/o Heuser Funeral Home, Rich HIll, Missouri.
