Eugenia Denzer

October 8, 1954 — January 11, 2021

Eugenia “Genia” Luann (Newcomb) Denzer was born on October 8, 1954 to Eugene and Luann Newcomb. Genia attended high school in Rich Hill and graduated in 1972. After high school she graduated from Lee Crawford’s Beauty School in Kansas City and had a 40-year career in beauty. Genia had her own beauty shop in Rich Hill for many years.

Genia welcomed her son, Scott Morrison in 1974, and 7 years later welcomed her second son, Nick Engemen. She married her husband, John Denzer, in 1991 and shared the rest of her life with him. Genia passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Scott Morrison. She is survived by her husband, John; son, Nick Engemen; granddaughter, Connie Kolonick; brother, Ron Newcomb and wife Jan (Rich Hill, Missouri); sister, Francy White and husband Greg (El Dorado Springs, Missouri); sister Vicky Cumpton and husband Allen (Rich Hill, Missouri); many nieces and nephews; many friends and clients; and her fur babies: Emma and Mo.

If you knew Genia, you know she liked to tell stories, make people laugh, and give a shock.  She will be missed terribly by everyone who loved her.
