Kathryn Champlin

Kathryn (Moreland) Champlin, age 73, of Nevada, Missouri formerly of Rich Hill, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 29 at the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Missouri.

She was born on November 26, 1948 in Rich Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Sally Moreland.  She was a 1966 graduate of Rich Hill High School.  She was united in marriage to Martin Champlin in 1969 and to this union 3 children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sally Moreland; two sisters, Wanda Lee Blankenship and Lola Stoner; three brothers, Bud, Tom, and Jay Dee Moreland.

Kate is survived by her three children, Timothy Champlin, Gregory Champlin, and Kelsey (Champlin) Palmer; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Champlin, Cierra Bear, Lydia Keller, Savannah Palmer, Stephen Romesburg, and Matt Bogart; one great-granddaughter, Sopha Ann Marie; one sister, Sally & Gerald Bauer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kate enjoyed watching westerns and shopping. She would do anything for her children and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral Service will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, June 1 at Heuser Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1 pm until service time.  Burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery.
