Lewis Duane “Wayne” West Jr. was born on December 8, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri. He died on June 21, 2020.
He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, papa, and friend. In his younger years he loved to play slow pitch softball, detail cars, ride motorcycles and spend time with his family. He loved truck driving and did it for many, many years. He was quite the prankster and joke-teller and he had the smile and laugh to light up the room.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis, Sr. and Charlene West; one brother, Lenny West; one sister, Helen McClay; and mother-in-law, Shirley Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl West of Hume, Missouri; two daughters, Misty Morrison and Danielle Finley and husband Chris of Hume, Missouri; 9 grandchildren: Taylor Stigall and husband Dakota, Megan Binford and Austin Pritchett, Hannah Jacobs and Ryan Austin, McKenna Jacobs, Chelsey Finley, Haylee Finley, Bryson Morrison all of Hume, Missouri, Kimberley Finley of Texas, and Cody Finley of Arizona; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Tammy Stewart and husband Roger of Rich Hill, Missouri; one brother, Michael West and wife Jeannie of Rich Hill, Missouri; father-in-law, Roy Robbins of Rich Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
