Ruby Ellis

Ruby Joyce Ellis, 86, of Rich Hill, Missouri passed away February 4, 2021.  Ruby was born on
September 19, 1934 to Hazel Margaret (Newcomb) West and John Maurice West.

Ruby was a 1953 graduate of Rich Hill High School.  On April 25, 1954, Ruby married Marion G. Ellis.  They lived in Roswell, New Mexico while Marion was in the United States Air Force.  Returning to Rich Hill, they were active in several local business ventures including a station, laundry mat, restaurant, and Mini Dine.  Ruby was also an active member of the Community 4-H, PTA, and her favorite was being an administrator at the Kern Senior Center.

Ruby is survived by her children: Sheryl Walker of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, George D. and wife Vicki Ellis of Cedar Springs, Missouri, Bob Ellis, and Zach Ellis, both of Rich Hill, Missouri; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell and wife Sherry West; sister, Dixie and husband Clay Vodry; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding Ruby in death were her parents; in-laws, George and Norma Ellis; husband, Marion Ellis; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Billy Tippie; son-in-law Jack Walker.

We will miss her beautiful smile and laughter.
