Obituary

 

Betty Lou (Alkire) Black, age 83, of Hermitage, Missouri, formerly of Rich Hill, Missouri passed away June 9, 2022 at Citizen Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.  Betty was born in Passaic, Missouri, the daughter of Daley F. and Bessie (Polson) Alkire on May 27, 1939.  Betty was united in marriage to Charles Eugene Black; to this union three children were born.  Betty worked in the food service industry and retired from her daughter’s restaurant in Hermitage.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her daughter, Anita Heckadon; her son, Charlie Black; and one great-grandchild.  She is survived by one daughter, Jeanie & Mike West of Rich Hill; son-in-law, Dennis Heckadon of Hermitage, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Christy Black of Rich Hill; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patsey Quick of Butler, Missouri.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 18th at Salem Cemetery in Foster, Missouri.  Arrangements under the direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, Missouri.
